Elmhurst Firm's Facebook Page Compromised: Police
In another case, a dog bites a person in a local neighborhood, authorities said.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving a compromised Facebook page, a dog bite, disturbances, harassment, damaged cars, loitering, retail theft and abandoned bikes. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:
Compromised Facebook page
- Totally Yours Pilgrimages, a tour business at 909 Route 83, told police Monday that its Facebook page had been compromised. A stranger has been posting to the account.
Dog bite

- A person's French bulldog jumped and bit a person on the knee, causing two puncture wounds, about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 600 block of Bryan Street. DuPage County Animal Services was notified.
Disturbances
- Police were called about a disturbance about 11 a.m. Tuesday at Walgreens, 160 N. Robert Palmer Drive. The store requested a no-trespass notice for a person harassing an employee. Police issued the notice, and the person left.
- Police responded to a disturbance about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at Chase Bank, 163 N. York St. The bank wanted the suspect to be served with a no-trespass notice. An officer issued one, and the person left.
Harassment

- A resident in the 600 block of West Thomas Street received harassing messages Aug. 14. The woman reported it five days later. An officer tried to contact the suspect, but was unsuccessful.
Damaged cars
- Someone damaged a car about 5 p.m. Tuesday at Walgreens, 160 N. Robert Palmer Drive. An investigation is pending.
- A car was damaged about 6 p.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of North Addison Avenue. An investigation is pending.
Loitering
- A person was loitering about 9 p.m. Tuesday at a strip mall at 570 S. York St. The person was served with a no-trespass notice and asked to leave.
Retail theft
- An officer stopped a white Hyundai Genesis about 4 p.m. Tuesday at Jewel, 944 S. York St. The officer determined the person had stolen merchandise. An investigation is pending.
Abandoned bikes
- Police were called about two abandoned bicycles about 10 a.m. Monday in the 500 block of South York Street. They were a red child's Huffy bike with training wheels and a pink little Lil' Rider scooter. They were put into evidence for safekeeping.
