Elmhurst Homeless Man Arrested Repeatedly

He is accused of trespassing at a convenience store and other places.

A 38-year-old homeless man, who used to live on Willow Tree Court in Elmhurst, was arrested about 6:30 a.m. Monday at 7-Eleven, 525 S. Spring Road, on a trespassing charge, local police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police arrested people on charges of trespassing, domestic battery and DUI. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst arrest log:

Trespassing

  • A 38-year-old homeless man, who used to live on Willow Tree Court in Elmhurst, was arrested about 6:30 a.m. Monday at 7-Eleven, 525 S. Spring Road, on a trespassing charge. In recent weeks, the man has been accused of trespassing at the store and other places. He was released.
  • A 37-year-old Chicago man was arrested about 6 p.m. Wednesday at St. Charles Road and Interstate 290 on a charge of criminal trespassing to a vehicle. He was released.

Domestic battery

  • A 31-year-old Downers Grove woman was arrested about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Michigan Street and Gladys Avenue in the 600 block of West North Avenue on a domestic battery charge. Police said she made contact of an "insulting and provoking nature" with another person. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

DUI

  • A 36-year-old Baltimore man was arrested about 2 a.m. Monday at Commonwealth Lane and Butterfield Road on charges of DUI, driving an uninsured car, possession of open alcohol and improper lane usage. Police said they were called about a car in a ditch. The man was taken to the police station and then released.
  • A 36-year-old Palatine man was arrested about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at York Street and Industrial Avenue on charges of DUI, failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash, possession of open alcohol by a driver and failure to report an accident to police. He was taken to the police station and then released.
