Elmhurst Man Accused Of Electronic Harassment
In another case, a man was taken to jail after pushing a woman in a domestic disturbance, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police arrested people on charges of electronic harassment, domestic battery, aggravated fleeing from an officer, DUI, disorderly conduct and retail theft. Here is information from the latest arrest log:
Electronic harassment
- A 55-year-old Elmhurst man who lives in the 500 block of North Walnut Street was arrested about 9 a.m. Nov. 24 at his home on charges of violation of an order of protection and electronic harassment. Police said the man contacted the victim. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Domestic battery

- A 40-year-old Elmhurst man who lives in the 200 block of East Church Street was arrested about 1 p.m. Friday at his home on a domestic battery charge. Police said the man pushed a woman during an argument. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Aggravated fleeing
- Dominik J. Rabe, 21, of Addison, was arrested Nov. 24 on charges of aggravated fleeing and eluding an officer (two counts) and speeding. Police said the man sped away from an officer trying to pull him over about 9 a.m. July 21 near Villa and North avenues. The man, who turned himself in at the police station, was released.

- Joseph M. Smith, 35, of Chicago, was arrested about 7 p.m. Nov. 24 at Grand Avenue and Church Street on charges of aggravated DUI (two counts), aggravated driving with a revoked license, aggravated battery to a police officer, obstructing identification, resisting arrest, transportation of open alcohol by a driver and use of an unsafe tire. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Disorderly conduct
- A 30-year-old Forest Park man was arrested about 2 p.m. Friday at Park Cleaners, 151 E. First St., on a disorderly conduct charge. Police said an officer saw the man urinating behind the business. He was wanted on two DuPage County warrants and a Cook County warrant. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Retail theft
- A 63-year-old Elmhurst man who lives in the 500 block of East Butterfield Road was arrested about 4:30 p.m. Friday at Jewel, 944 S. York St., on a retail theft charge. He was released.
DUI
- A 27-year-old St. Charles man was arrested about 11:30 p.m. Nov. 26 at York and Second streets on charges of DUI and driving a car while using a phone. He was taken to the police station and then released.
- A 46-year-old Elmhurst man who lives in the 100 block of South West Avenue was arrested about 3 a.m. Thursday at First Street and Addison Avenue on charges of DUI, improper parking on the roadway and driving an uninsured car. Police said the man was asleep behind the wheel. He was taken to the police station and then released.
- A 30-year-old Stone Park man was arrested about 1 a.m. Friday at North Avenue and Michigan Street on charges of DUI and speeding. He was taken to the police station and then released.
