Elmhurst Man Injures 2 Officers During Stop: Cop
In another case, a woman struck an officer in the police station's lockup, authorities said.

ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police arrested people on charges of aggravated battery, disorderly conduct, burglary, retail theft and DUI. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst arrest log:
Aggravated battery
- Taray D. Love, 32, who lives in the 600 block of North West Avenue, was arrested about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday on charges of aggravated battery (five counts), resisting an officer (two counts), improper display of registration, driving with expired plates and driving an uninsured car. Police said Love, who was stopped at West Avenue and Lake Street, battered two officers, causing injuries. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
- Ashley Estremera Perez, 34, of Chicago, was arrested about 12:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Charles Road and Fair Street on charges of aggravated battery, DUI, marijuana possession by a driver, driving an uninsured car and improper stopping on the roadway. While in the police station's lockup, Perez struck an officer, authorities said. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Disorderly conduct

- A 63-year-old Glen Ellyn man was arrested about 8 a.m. Wednesday at St. Charles Road and Route 83 on a disorderly conduct charge. Police said someone who saw the man driving recklessly asked whether he was OK. The man began throwing items at the other person's car. He was released.
Burglary
- Angelina C. Arnold, 31, and Jaquez E. Shannon, 36, both of Chicago, were arrested Jan. 5 on charges of burglary and retail theft. Arnold was also charged with fleeing and eluding, driving with a suspended license and disobeying a traffic signal. Police said the women stole fragrances during the afternoon of Nov. 30 at Kohl's, 303 S. Route 83. They were taken to the DuPage County Jail.
- A 29-year-old Naperville man was arrested about 5:30 p.m. Saturday on charges of burglary and retail theft. Police said the incident occurred at CVS Pharmacy, 110 W. North Ave. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

- A 58-year-old Chicago man was arrested about 8 p.m. Friday at North Avenue and Route 83 on charges of DUI, improper lane usage and driving an uninsured car. He was taken to the police station and then released.
- A 31-year-old Bellwood man was arrested about 2 a.m. Sunday at Potbelly restaurant, 544 W. St. Charles Road, on charges of DUI, no valid driver's license, improper lane usage and driving with one headlight. He was taken to the police station and then released.
