Elmhurst Offering Cooling Centers For Residents
City Hall, the police station and the public library serve as cooling centers as heat indexes could hit as high as 110 degrees.
ELMHURST, IL — Elmhurst has temporary cooling centers for residents who may need emergency cooling.
The entire Chicago area is under an excessive heat warning until 8 p.m. Tuesday. Heat indexes could hit between 106 and 110.

Elmhurst Public Library
125 S. Prospect Ave.
Open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
If residents would like to request a well-being check for someone who may be suffering from the heat, they are asked to call 911.
