Elmhurst Pair Ingests Too Much Marijuana: Police

In another case, an Elmhurst resident turns in three guns to the police.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving residents ingesting too much marijuana, a domestic disturbance, guns turned in, an aggravated battery warrant and aggressiveness with store employees. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:

Too much marijuana

  • Officers and medics responded about 10 p.m. Tuesday to the 100 block of South Prospect Avenue for the report of two people who ingested too much marijuana. Both were taken to Elmhurst Hospital. Elmhurst University is in the 100 block of South Prospect.

Guns turned in

  • A resident in the 800 block of South Kirk Avenue on Tuesday turned in three guns and a BB gun to the police station for destruction. The items were placed into evidence.

Domestic disturbance

  • Police were called about a domestic disturbance about 4 p.m. Tuesday in the 1000 block of Eldridge Lane. A man got into an argument with his girlfriend, who refused to leave his house. The woman left after an officer spoke with her.

Aggravated battery warrant

  • Police were called about 9:30 a.m. Nov. 10 to the 100 block of South West Avenue for an unknown citizen assist. A 26-year-old Chicago man was found to have a Cook County warrant charging him with failure to appear in court for an aggravated battery case. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Aggressive with employees

  • A man was said to be verbally aggressive with employees about 2:30 p.m. Nov. 10 at Kohl's, 303 S. Route 83. He was served with a no-trespass notice.
  • A man was yelling at employees about 4 p.m. Tuesday at Walgreens, 160 N. Robert Palmer Drive. He was served with a no-trespass notice.

Suspicious

  • An investigation is pending for suspicious circumstances about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of South Cottage Hill Avenue.
