Elmhurst Police Searching for Suspicious Minivan
A male driver reportedly waved at a boy near Chandler and Adelia, police say.

Elmhurst police are asking residents to look out for a suspicious minivan that reportedly approached a boy around 5:56 p.m. Sept. 29 in the area of Chandler and Adelia.
The 12-year-old boy described the minivan as white with rust and tinted back windows, and it might have been a Dodge Caravan, according to Elmhurst police.
The boy said he was walking when he saw the van make a U-turn toward him, and he said the driver waved for him to come to the van.

The driver is described as a man with a mustache, wearing a blue T-shirt with white shoulder stripes, police reported. The driver didn’t say anything to the boy, and the boy ran away. Elmhurst officers checked the area but couldn’t find the van.
