Elmhurst Teen Falls 30 Feet At Park: Report
He was issued a written warning for going off the trail, a radio station said.
ELMHURST, IL – A 16-year-old Elmhurst boy was taken to a nearby hospital Friday afternoon after falling 30 feet at Matthiessen State Park, radio station WSPY reported.
The boy went off the trail in the Upper Dells part of the park, the station said.
The boy, who was issued a written warning for going off the trail, did not complain of injuries, but was taken to the hospital as a precaution, WSPY said.

Matthiessen State Park in LaSalle County is next to the more well-known Starved Rock State Park, the most visited state park in Illinois.
At both parks, it is illegal to go off the trails. At Starved Rock, falls are not uncommon, sometimes resulting in death.
