As the craft brewery industry explodes across the country, Chicago is quickly becoming a hub for these creative brewers quenching the thirst of a new generation of beer drinkers. New breweries, both large and small, are popping up in neighborhoods throughout the city offering innovative products, tours, and tastings to throngs of beer lovers. The Elmhurst Historical Museum provides the opportunity to visit two of Chicago’s newer breweries on Saturday, November 7, 2015 from 10:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. during the Make It Two: Brewery Tours.

Participants will travel via coach bus from Elmhurst to Motor Row Brewing in the South Loop and Lagunitas Brewing Company in the Douglas Park neighborhood to tour the facilities, taste some delicious brews, and gain an understanding of the brewing process and industry. Chicago beer and tavern historian Liz Garibay of “History on Tap” will be on board the bus to provide interesting anecdotes and a historical perspective of Chicago’s legendary brewing history along the way.
