Fitz's Pub Owner Expanding Reach into DeKalb County

Brendan Fitzharris and two of his employees have partnered to create a new nightlife venue in DeKalb.

Elmhurst business owner Brendan Fitzharris, known for his bars, Fitz’s Pub, Fitz’s Spare Keys and Fitz’s Irish Bulldog in neighboring Villa Park, is embarking on a new venture with two of his current employees that will have him expanding his business into DeKalb County.

Fitzharris has teamed up with Joe Chavez, manager at Fitz’s Spare Keys, and Rosy Amodio, a bartender at the bar. The trio have taken over Starbusters Bar in DeKalb.

The new management team took effect May 1, according to a news release. Until the end of the school year the bar will retain the current name, but over the summer it will transition to the new business, Rosy’s Roadhouse. The new venue will transform the space, bringing state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems to the 8,000-square-foot space.
