Frank Gibbons Links Fore Hope Foundation Golf Outing Set for July 26

The Frank Gibbons Links Fore Hope Foundation is hosting its third annual golf outing on July 26 at Maple Meadows Golf Course, Wood Dale.

The foundation is currently registering golfers and hole sponsors for the outing that will be held from 11:15 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, July 26, at Maple Meadows Golf Course, 272 S. Addison Road, Wood Dale. Registration and lunch will begin at 11:15 a.m. and the tournament starts at 1 p.m.  Dinner, awards and a silent auction will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

Donations for the golf outing include the following options: $600 per foursome ($150 per golfer), $100 per hole sponsor and $50 for non-golfer dinner only. In addition, each golfer will receive a complimentary Frank Gibbons Links for Hope Foundation commemorative jacket.

The Frank Gibbons Links Fore Hope Foundation was created in memory of Frank Gibbons of Wood Dale, who lost his battle to cancer in 2011. Frank was an avid golfer who enjoyed playing with his family and friends. In his memory, the foundation raises money to send children affected by cancer to the Children Oncology Services One Step at a Time Camp in Lake Geneva, Wis. In addition, the foundation provides financial assistance to families affected by cancer through the Illinois Junior Golf Association. The foundation also provides an annual donation to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and has made numerous donations to other charities.
