Handful of DUIs Reported Super Bowl Weekend Despite Increased Police Patrols: Elmhurst Cops

Five men were forced to take "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" seriously.

Several DUIs were reported this Super Bowl weekend in Elmhurst, despite surrounding police departments' efforts to increase patrols and keep drunk drivers off the road.

The following drivers were arrested:

  • Nicholas Hudson, 32: Hudson was pulled over after driving too slowly and swerving between lanes. Once police made contact with him, they also found out that he was hiding a loaded pistol in the center console of his Chevrolet Silverado.
  • Mike Segarra, 31: Segarra was stopped for driving without headlights and was found to be under the influence of alcohol. He was also charged with no insurance and transporting open alcohol.
  • David Schiebe, 64: Schiebe was pulled over for speeding and arrested for driving drunk.
  • Ryszard Dlugosz, 41: Police stopped Dlugosz for looking suspicious. He had been slumped over the steering wheel, and when they pulled him over it was evident he'd been drinking.
  • David Chapol-Lucho, 33: Chapol-Lucho was charged with a slew of things after he failed to stop for a police car attempting to pull him over. Aside from the DUI, he was cited for speeding, improper lane usage, failure to signal, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and disobeying a traffic control signal.
