How Much Elmhurst Settled For With Woman's Estate
Elmhurst settled with the late Rosemary Rice's family for $50,000. The 74-year-old died in January 2024.

ELMHURST, IL – Elmhurst aldermen on Monday approved a settlement with the estate of a woman who was killed in a crash on the north side.
The city said the settlement was for $50,000.
"There was no admission of any liability on the part of the city whatsoever," city attorney Donald Storino told the City Council. "It completely released the city from any and all liability."

On Jan. 26, 2024, 74-year-old Elmhurst resident Rosemary Rice was killed when she was struck by a car while walking across York Street at the intersection with Diversey Avenue.
