IC Catholic’s Haunted Party Will Probably Scare the Hell Right Out of You

Ready for a little heaven and hell? 

Tonight, Wednesday, Oct. 23, IC Catholic Prep will host a one-night-only Haunted Party at the Odeum Expo Center, 1033 N. Villa in Addison. The event, Heaven and Hell, will be held in partnership with Asylum Xperiment, which was named the No. 1 haunted attraction in Illinois for 2012.

Popular local bands 7th Heaven and Serendipity also will perform.

ICCP senior and editor of the school newspaper, Grace Vitek, recently visited with the co-creators of the Asylum Xperiment, Mike Skodacek and Dave Link, to get an inside look into how they prepare for this annual haunted production. 

Vitek wrote a feature article for the latest edition of the Knights Newspaper:

“It is easy to see that everyone at the Asylum loves what they do, and they work very hard to create a horrifying and thrilling experience that is truly unlike any other," she wrote. "The details throughout the attraction are incredible. Unlike other haunted houses, the rooms flow together, making people feel like they are actually in the environment. To add to the terror, there are about 100 actors on a single night whose job is to scare people.”

Asylum Xperiment haunts begin at 7 p.m., with the last haunt to begin at 10 p.m. Serendipity starts at 7 p.m., with 7th Heaven taking the stage from 8 to 10 p.m. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. While this is an all ages event, the haunted experience is recommended for ages 13 and up.

General admission is $25 in advance, $30 at the door. VIP tickets also are available, including a Red Carpet ticket that includes no waiting in line, table seating, waitress service, stage access, a meet-and-greet with Asylum creators and band members, and two drinks for $80.

All proceeds benefit IC Catholic Prep.

Tickets for the Heaven and Hell haunted party can be purchased on-line. There will be a $5 student discount.
