Instagram Scammer Tricks Student into Sharing Bank Info
The victim's bank accounts were overdrawn.

Elmhurst, IL - A victim of identity theft received an Instagram message about a job that paid students to promote a company on social media.
The victim shared his online bank account logins, passwords, Facebook logins and passwords and debit card information to set up payment for employment, according to Elmhurst police.
The deceptive practice and identity theft took place between Feb. 7 and 10.

The victim’s bank accounts showed deposits and withdrawals and were overdrawn, police reported. An investigation is pending.
Police list two male suspects. One known as “Chris,” and one named “Zo,” who is described as 25 to 30 years old and 6 feet 3 inches tall.
