Lee Baumgartner, Former Elmhurst Resident

ELIZABETH CITY, NC – We lost Lee Baumgartner unexpectedly on August 4, 2023. He was born November 1, 1974, in Elmhurst, IL, where he grew up and attended York Community High School. Lee lived in the western suburbs of Chicago until ten years ago when he moved to North Carolina, where he met his love, Nikki Hill.

Unfortunately, he is preceded in death by his fiance Nikki Hill and his parents, Francis (Game) Mital (Gerry) and Edward J. Baumgartner (Roberta).

Lee is survived by his children, Joseph and Colton Baumgartner, and his siblings, Edward Baumgartner Jr, Kenneth Baumgartner, Jessie Mital, Jennifer Baumgartner, and Meta Mueller. He also leaves behind nieces and nephews, Skye and Chloe Baumgartner, Maddyson and AJ Baumgartner, and Olivia Mueller.

We will remember Lee for the love he shared, his kind heart, and his generous and often silly spirit. Lee had family and many friends who loved him and will hold onto their fond memories of him during this difficult loss.
