Leyden's annual Halloween Instrumental Concert on Oct. 30
Concert features thematic music about villains and heroes, ghastly melodies, frightful fantasies and musicians in costume.

Leyden High School District 212 presents its annual Halloween Instrumental Concert on Wednesday, October 30, at 7 p.m. in the auditorium at West Leyden High School, 1000 N. Wolf Rd., Northlake, IL
In keeping with the spirit of the holiday, the auditorium is decorated and performers are in costume, everything from wicked to whimsical. The concert features thematic music about villains and heroes as well as ghastly melodies and frightful fantasies.
Music students from both campuses are showcased, including those in the orchestra and the symphonic and concert bands. This combined production is conducted by Bryan Miller, District 212 music teacher and department chairperson, music teacher Abby Kott, and student teacher Michael Vaschur.

“The Halloween concert is an exciting way to kick off our series of on-campus instrumental music concerts during the school year,” Miller says. “Complete with musical themes, costumes, and seasonal decorations, it is a community favorite.”
