Man Crashes Into Elmhurst Store: Police

ELMHURST, IL – A man suffering from a medical issue while driving struck the brick exterior of the At Home store shortly before 8 p.m. Monday, police said.

The driver, a 44-year-old Willowbrook resident, suffered minor injuries, police said. No one inside the store was reported injured.

"The Elmhurst Police Department responded promptly and ensured the scene was safely secured," the city's spokesperson, Michael Queroz, said in an email to Patch.

The At Home store is at 275 S. Route 83, between Whole Foods and Kohl's.
