Man Pushes Woman Over Elmhurst Eatery's Restroom: Cops
In another case, a man alleged a woman had brandished a gun and warned against cheating.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving a man who pushed a woman at a restaurant, a warning against cheating, an employee's theft, felony property damage, online fraud and a missing person. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:
Upset over restroom
- A man pushed a woman when he was not allowed to use the restroom because it was closed to the public about 11 a.m. Saturday at Dunkin' Donuts, 195 E. Butterfield Road. The man was given a no-trespass notice.

- While being treated at Elmhurst Hospital, a man told police Friday that a week earlier, a suspect had pointed a gun at him and told him she would kill him if he cheated on her. Police said the incident was in the 400 block of West St. Charles Road. When police asked, she denied it.
Employee theft
- MedSpeed, 104 W. Industrial Ave., told police Thursday that an employee used a company credit card to make unauthorized purchases. An investigation is pending.

- Cameo Dental Specialists, 148 N. Addison Ave., told police Thursday that it had been receiving threatening emails and voicemails from a customer. An officer was unable to contact the suspect.
Felony property damage
- Dario Alvarez Salas, 40, who lives at the Extended Stay America hotel, 550 W. Grand Ave., in Elmhurst, was arrested about noon Saturday in the 100 block of East Elmhurst Avenue on a felony property damage charge. The man showed up at the police station and admitted to breaking the victim's windshield, police said. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Possession of stolen car
- Anthony T. Talarico, 33, of Rockford, was arrested about 8 p.m. Saturday at Interstate 290 and Route 83 on charges of felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle, aggravated DUI, improper lane usage and speeding. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Resisting officer
- A 20-year-old Round Lake Park woman was arrested about 4 a.m. Sunday on Elm Creek Drive on charges of resisting an officer, obstructing identification and consumption of alcohol by a minor. She was released.
Online fraud
- A resident in the 700 block of North Van Auken Street told police Thursday that he bought a fraudulent iPad on Facebook Marketplace.
Scam
- A resident in the 600 block of South Parkside Avenue told police Friday that someone gained remote access to his computer and transferred money out of his account.
No theft after all
- The owner of an unlocked white Subaru Forester told police it was stolen between 10 p.m. Wednesday and 11 a.m. Friday in the 100 block of Fellows Court. He later found he had parked it in the nearby Whole Foods lot.
Disturbance
- A man told police that while driving north on Clinton Avenue from Third Street, someone yelled a profanity and threw something at his car about 8 p.m. Thursday. An investigation is pending.
Partner found
- A resident in the 600 block of South Cambridge Avenue told police Friday that her partner was not there when she returned home about 5 p.m. Friday. Her partner was found and taken to Elmhurst Hospital.
Fugitive driver
- An officer tried to stop the driver of a black Acura TLX about 4:30 a.m. Saturday at Grand Avenue and County Line Road. The driver sped away, last seen near Route 83 and Interstate 290.
Stolen jewelry
- Two necklaces were found stolen after movers packed a truck Saturday at a house in the 200 block of North Myrtle Avenue. An investigation is pending.
Well-being check
- Police were called to check on a woman's well-being about 12:30 a.m. Sunday at a house in the 600 block of West North Avenue. Police said the drunken woman argued with her family and tried to get out of a car. Her family attempted to get her back in the car.
Stolen yard sign
- A yard sign was stolen over the weekend from a house in the 300 block of South York Street.
DUI
- A 21-year-old Oakbrook Terrace man was arrested shortly after midnight Friday at First Street and West Avenue on charges of DUI, reckless driving, failing to reduce speed to avoid a crash and driving an uninsured car. He was taken to the police station and then released.
- A 58-year-old Chicago man was arrested about 9:30 p.m. Friday at York Street and St. Charles Road on charges of DUI, using unsafe tires, illegally stopping where prohibited and driving an uninsured car. He was taken to the police station and then released.
