So, to ease your mind, we've got a list of what's opened and what's closed in the western suburbs this Monday so you can plan your day and your errands accordingly.


Here's a look at what local businesses, services and institutions will be open and closed on Presidents Day:

Schools: All public schools will be closed to observe the federal holiday.

Elmhurst Government: The City of Elmhurst doesn't indicate on its site whether or not its offices will be open.

County, state, federal offices: All closed.

Elmhurst Public Library: The library should be open for Presidents Day.

Postal Service: No mail delivery, and all post offices will be closed.

Banks: Most financial institutions will be closed. Call ahead to be sure.

CTA and Metra: Trains and buses for the transportation agencies will be running on normal Monday schedules.
