In another case, a house in a local neighborhood was burglarized, police said.
ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving disorderly conduct, a house burglary, domestic disturbances, threats, a broken window, an egging and theft. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:
Disorderly conduct
- A 29-year-old Hoffman Estates man was cited about 9 a.m. Sunday on a disorderly conduct charge. Elmhurst police said the man got into an argument during a soccer game and tried to headbutt another person at Berens Park, 493 N. Oaklawn Ave. He was released.
House burglary

- Someone stole a circular saw, a nail gun, and a cordless drill between Wednesday and Thursday at a house under construction in the 500 block of South Fairfield Avenue.
Domestic disturbance
- Police responded to a domestic disturbance about 9 p.m. Thursday at Gia Mia Italian restaurant, 116 E. Schiller St. The dispute did not turn physical. No one pressed charges.
- Police responded to a domestic disturbance about 12:30 p.m. Saturday in the 300 block of West Avery Street. No arrests were made because of conflicting stories.
Threats

- Police were called about 11 a.m. Thursday to the 900 block of North Larch Avenue. A man told officers that a suspect had threatened him and made derogatory comments. The suspect denied making threats. The first person declined to press charges.
Broken window
- A second-floor window was broken by unknown means Friday at Wilson Montessori Academy, 136 W. Vallette St.
Egging
- An egg was thrown overnight Friday at the front window of a house in the 500 block of North Walnut Street.
Theft
- A resident in the 400 block of Butterfield Road told police that a Rolex watch was stolen from her home between Sept. 21 and Oct. 11. The incident was reported Saturday.
Retail theft
- Someone stole merchandise about 10:30 a.m. Sunday at CVS Pharmacy, 110 W. North Ave. An investigation is pending.
