Traffic Stop Nets 13 Bags of Suspect Heroin, Police Say
Police also find anabolic steroids and Vicodin on driver, and needles in a sewer on Niagara, according to reports.
Possession of a Controlled Substance
Deshawn Aaron, 24, 415 Marshall, Bellwood, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance after police pulled over the vehicle he was riding in for no front plate at Roosevelt and Route 83 at 6:28 p.m. April 8. Police said he was in possession of 13 bags of suspect heroin. He was taken to DuPage County Jail and is being held on $2,000 bond.
Percy Jurkowski, 32, 359 Cedar Tree Court, Hoffman Estates, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of anabolic steroids after police pulled him over for failure to signal at North and Clinton at 3:46 p.m. April 8. Police said he was in possession of one Vicodin pill and a bottle of Genavar anabolic steroid pills. He also was found to have a failure to appear warrant for reckless driving. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.
Drug Equipment Found in Sewer
Police reported that a baggie containing four hypodermic needles and a small tin with burn marks on the bottom was found inside a sewer on the 400 block of East Niagara at 9:55 a.m. April 6. The items were placed into evidence for destruction.
