Winter Storm Report: Live Radar, Roadway Conditions, Safety Tips

A winter storm is coming to the Chicago area, and it could make the Tuesday morning commute messy for many.

Between one and two inches of snowfall is possible for the western suburbs, with four to seven inches expected in the northern suburbs.

A winter weather advisory has been issued for DuPage, Cook and Kane counties. Strong wind gusts could make driving conditions treacherous.

For those venturing out Tuesday morning, the Illinois Department of Transportation website provides updates on road conditions on highways across the state. You can also get live traffic and transit updates on Patch or dial 511 for road conditions.
