Woman Arrested for Shoplifting Also Had Heroin with Her: Police

A man with her was also arrested for shoplifting and an active warrant for assault.

A woman arrested Oct. 26 for shoplifting was also found to have suspected heroin, hypodermic needles and drug paraphernalia in her possession.

Elizabeth Hidbrader, 26 of the 800 block of North Cedar Street in Auburn, Indiana, was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, possession of hypodermic syringes, possession of drug paraphernalia and retail theft, according to Elmhurst police.

Police found she had taken $124.98 worth of merchandise from Kohl’s, 303 South Route 83, and left without paying.

A man with her, Perison Bowling, 46 of the 4600 block of South Dubois in Brookfield, was also arrested and charged with retail theft. He had taken a baseball hat valued at $21 from the store. Police found Bowling also had a warrant for assault out of Brookfield.

Both Hidbrader and Bowling were taken to the police station for processing and then to DuPage County Jail.
