Woman Found Dead In Her Elmhurst Hospital Office: Cops

In another case, a woman reported items stolen after an Elmhurst firm repossessed her truck, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving a death at the hospital, theft, a broken window, retail theft, a domestic disturbance, fraud and a drunk person. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:

Death

  • A woman was found dead in her office about 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Elmhurst Hospital, 155 Brush Hill Road.

  • A woman told police Thursday that Super Ego Holding, 677 N. Larch Ave., repossessed her semi-tractor. She said some property was missing when he went to retrieve her belongings from the company. Police labeled the case a theft. An investigation is pending.

Broken window

  • A man shattered the rear window of a car between 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Friday in the 100 block of North York Street. Nothing was stolen. The man was described as black, in his early 20s, thin, 5-foot-8, having shoulder-length hair, wearing a green bucket hat, and carrying an olive green backpack.

  • A man stole several clothing items about 4:30 p.m. Friday at Goodwill Store, 675 W. North Ave.

Domestic disturbance

  • Police responded to a domestic disturbance about 11:30 a.m. Saturday in the 600 block of West Avenue. One man said another man attacked him unprovoked. The other man said the first man was drunk and had battered him. No arrests were made because of conflicting statements.

Fraud

  • A resident in the 800 block of Fairfield Avenue told police Sunday that her ex-husband tried to open a US Bank account using her information. The bank told her it denied the application.

Drunk person

  • Officers were alerted about a drunk person about 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Jewel, 944 S. York St. The person was taken to Elmhurst Hospital.

Bike found

  • A blue and red Infinity bicycle was found about 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the 900 block of South Bryan Street. The bike was placed into evidence for safekeeping.
