Woman Hit by Metra Train Still Unidentified
Elmhurst police have sent out state-wide alerts for missing persons.

Elmhurst police are still asking for help identifying the woman who was killed Friday by a Metra train in Elmhurst.
As of Oct. 12 at 4:20 p.m., she still had not been identified, according to Elmhurst police.
The woman was hit at 3:20 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, east of York near First and Palmer Drive.

Police continue to investigate leads that have been called in and reported on social media. State-wide alerts were sent to law enforcement agencies, requesting information about missing people who match the woman’s description.
Patrol cars have been present at independent senior housings and they’ve contacted elderly care facilities in Elmhurst.

The woman is described as a white female, 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 6 inches, 60 to 70 years old, 130 pounds with white or light color hair, according to police.
She was wearing blue jogging pants, a white night gown with a laced bow, a blue top and size 7 shoes. She had a Lina purse that contained a house key on an orange ring and eyeglasses. She was not wearing jewlery and she didn’t have identification with her.
