Woman Tried to Take Steaks from Whole Foods

Elmhurst police were called to investigate an attempted theft Oct. 10 after a woman reportedly tried to leave Whole Foods with $197.14-worth of steaks.

The woman said she had already paid for the steaks, but they were left out of her bag, according to Elmhurst police.

She told employees she would get her receipt from her car, but she didn’t return to the store.

The woman was reportedly driving an older town car-style vehicle with an Alabama license plate, police reported.
