The teen was taken into custody Monday.
A York High School student was taken into custody early this week after a fight over a girl led him to allegedly shoot a car windshield, police said.
The 17-year-old had reportedly been having a disagreement with a former friend about a girl they both knew, the Pioneer Press reported. He was arrested Monday and charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and criminal damage to property.
York High School Principal Erin DeLuga said in a statement the school had been in contact with Elmhurst police since the incident unfolded the evening before.
