York Students Honored in Exposed Photography Showcase

Elmhurst, IL - York High School photography teacher Kelsey Thompson entered the work of her students in the recent College of DuPage Exposed Photography Showcase. The exhibition's reception was held May 3, and two York seniors received honors:

• Madison Casey received "Honorable Mention"
• Caroline Stasica received "Second Place"

There were four places awarded (1st, 2nd, 3rd and Honorable Mention). The girls were selected by a jury of high school art teachers and college professors from among all of the other high school entries.

Both students submitted a small portfolio. Madison submitted one portfolio of 5 photos (digital photography). Caroline submitted two portfolios (one digital photography, one traditional film photography). They both won for their digital photography.
