Car Crash Narrowly Misses Subway Customer In Evanston: Report
A car slammed through the wall of an Evanston Subway sandwich shop, stopping just short of a man eating his lunch.

EVANSTON, IL — A car crashed into a Subway sandwich shop in Evanston Tuesday, stopping just short of a customer finishing his lunch, reports said.
The crash was reported at approximately 2 p.m. at the shopping center at 3330 Central St., according to the Evanston Fire Department. Battalion Chief Martin Rafacz told CBS News that the car hopped the curb and crashed into the glass front door.
According to Rafacz, it appeared that the driver stepped on the accelerator of her car instead of the brake or didn't put the car in park before releasing the brake.
