ETHS Launches New App

It allows you to see info like school calendars and lunch menus, as well as monitor student progress.

Evanston Township High School this week launched a new app, which is one of the few all-in-one mobile apps for a school district in the state, the school says.

The app, which is available for iPhone and Android, allows people to check school things like calendars and get to password protected info. Search “ETHS” in the App Store or Google Play Store to download it for free.

According to the school, the new app includes:

· Top news stories and social media posts

· School calendar information, including the ability to add events from school calendars to the user’s device calendar

· School information such as bell schedule, lunch menu, etc.

· Password-protected access to view information in Home Access Center, Google Apps, and ETHS Home Applications.

· Push notifications for instant alerts to the user’s mobile device

· Text-A-Tip about a safety concern

· Staff directory with contact information for teachers, administrators and other staff

· Links to the ETHS Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube sites

Once you use it, the school wants to know what you think and asks you to take a brief survey at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/ETHSmobileapp. The survey is available through Sept. 1.
