Evanston Moves Ahead with Sale Negotiations for Harley Clarke Mansion
The city council authorized the city manager to negotiate the sale to the state.

The Evanston City Council voted this week to allow the city manager to negotiate the sale of the Harley Clarke mansion to the state, according to an article in Evanston Now.
The Illinois Department of Natural Resources is interested in buying the building. The city would lease out the land.
The City Council last year rejected 6-3 a bid by Jennifer Pritzker to buy the building and 2.5 acres of land in order to create a boutique hotel.
