Gunfire Reported On Hovland Court
Police investigated a report that someone fired a gun in the 1800 block of Hovland Court at 5:53 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16. Nothing was found in the area.

Evanston Teen Charged With Car Burglary
Tewayne Takie Kennedy, 17, was arrested and charged with car burglary after he entered a 2010 Volkswagen parked in the 300 block of Dewey Avenue at 11:15 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, according to police.

Someone entered an unlocked 1992 Toyota parked in the 1100 block of Florence Avenue and stole a date book between 2 and 6:15 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16, police reported.
Bellwood Man Charged With Theft
Melvin Tracy Lockett, 41, of the 200 block of 49th Avenue in Bellwood, was arrested and charged with theft of lost or mislaid property at 9 a.m. Monday, Sept. 16, at the police station.
Retail Theft: Smirnoff Vodka, Yellow Towels
A man stole a bottle of Smirnoff vodka from a liquor store in the 1000 block of Davis Street at 5:05 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16, police reported.
A woman stole four yellow towels from a chain business in the 1700 block of Maple between 10:30 and 10:45 a.m. Monday, Sept. 16, according to police.
Graffiti Appears on Hamlin, Church
Graffiti appeared on railroad property in the 900 block of Hamlin Street between 8:50 and 9:17 a.m. Monday, Sept. 16, according to police.
Graffiti appeared on railroad property in the 1000 block of Church Street at 10:23 a.m. Monday, Sept. 16, police reported.
