Former Evanston Corporation Jack Siegel Dies at 88

He served in that role from 1963-2009.

Former City of Evanston Corporation Jack Siegel died on Tuesday after a long battle with cancer. He was 88.

Siegel served as Evanston Corporation Counsel from 1963 to 2009, when he became Of Counsel to the City’s Law Department. Siegel led a long distinguished career as a municipal attorney and continued as Corporation Counsel in Arlington Heights and Schaumburg until his death.

“Jack represented the interests of the City of Evanston with distinction during his 46 years as Corporation Counsel. His good works helped guide many Mayors, City Councils and City Managers in Evanston toward wise decisions for decades. Evanston mourns his loss.” said City Manager Wally Bobkiewicz
