Evanston police investigated a report that someone fired a gun in the 1100 block of Ashland Avenue at 2:24 a.m. Monday, Oct. 14. Nothing was found in the area, according top olice.

A known male offender threatened his victim with a knife in the 1500 block of Chicago Avenue at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, according to police.

Arrests: Battery, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Patrick Barrett, 43, of the 7200 block of North Hamilton in Chicago, was arrested and charged with battery at 6:41 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, in the 1400 block of Elmwood Avenue, according to police.
A 70-year-old Evanston man was arrested and charged with domestic battery at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, according to police.
Ronald S. Stewart, 50, was arrested and charged with criminal trespass after he trespassed in the 300 block of Ridge Avenue at 9:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, according to police.
John Zhang Dong, 20, of the 600 block of Clark Street in Evanston, was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia at 1:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, police reported.
Katrina R. Jackson, 36, of the 4200 block of North Broadway Avenue in Chicago, was arrested and charged with retail theft after she stole alcohol from a grocery store in the 1100 block of Chicago Avenue at 5:11 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, police reported.
Patrick Toran Montress, 45, of the 1400 block of Chicago Avenue in Evanston, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault at 9:50 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, according to police.
A 30-year-old Evanston man was arrested and charged with domestic battery at 1:25 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, according to police.
A 24-year-old Evanston man was arrested and charged with domestic battery at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, police reported.
Burglar Steals Camera On Mulford
Someone entered an unlocked home in the 1100 block of Mulford Street and stole a Canon camera between 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, according to police.
Attempted Burglary on Brummel
A man removed the screen from a home in the 2100 block of Brummel Street between 10:30 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, according to police.
Car Burglaries On Dodge, Central, Leland
Someone stole a wallet and Amazon tablet from a 2011 Kia left unlocked in a parking lot in the 300 block of Dodge Avenue between 7 and 10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, according to police.
Someone stole two Apple iPads from an unlocked 2012 Chevrolet parked in the 1700 block of Central Street between 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, and 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, according to police.
Someone stole a brown leather purse from an unlocked 1993 Toyota parked in the 1700 block of Leland Avenue between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, according to police.
Thief Steals Bike From Car Rack
Someone stole a bicycle from the bike rack of a car parked in the 2100 block of Cleveland Street between 4 and 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, according to police.
Known Offenders Steal Cash, Cell Phone
A known female offender stole cash from an apartment in the 600 block of Asbury Avenue between 12:01 and 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, according to police.
A known male offender stole someone’s Google cell phone at a restaurant in the 600 block of Davis Street between 2:30 and 3:15 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, police reported.
Thief Steals Vodka From Grocery Store
A man stole 1800 vodka from a grocery store in the 1100 block of Chicago Avenue between 9:50 and 10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, according to police.
Man Caught Going Through Woman’s Purse
A woman caught a man going through her purse in an office building in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue between 12:10 and 12:15 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, police reported.
Rear Window Busted On Emerson
Someone broke the rear window of a 1998 Ford parked in the 1800 block of Emerson Street between 10:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, and 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, police reported.
