Last week, Midas of Evanston located at 2410 Dempster St. gifted a single mom of two, Dua Jamshaid, a refurbished Mazda Series.

Dua Jamshaid is a devoted single mother whose journey has been marked by extraordinary resilience and sacrifice. When the pandemic cut off her income as a delivery driver, she lost her car, her housing, and nearly everything else—except her determination. Despite working long hours with young children in tow and relying on borrowed or rented vehicles, Dua has never stopped striving to provide for her family.

When Midas Franchisee Victor Sanchez heard of Dua’s need, he and his team jumped into action. They partnered with NAPA auto parts and 1-800-Cars to fix up a Mazda 5 Series to like-new condition for the family.

Midas franchisees and their teams assist families across North America who have hit a bump in the road with the gift of transportation through Midas’ Project Spark initiative. Midas franchise owners donate their time and efforts to refurbish vehicles and then present them to a recipient in need at a Project Spark event.
