New Year Baby At Evanston Hospital Born 2.5 Hours Into 2022

A Chicago couple welcomed their second daughter early Saturday morning.

EVANSTON, IL — The first baby born at Evanston Hospital in the new year was born less than two and a half hours into 2022.

Hannah Eliette Estrada was born at 2:25 a.m. Saturday, according to hospital officials. She weighed in at seven pounds, nine ounces.

Hannah was the second baby born to Chicago residents Esther Vazquez Ramos and Froylan Estrada, joining a 21-month-old sister, Hadassah.

A NorthShore University HealthSystem spokesperson said Hannah and Esther are both doing well.
