Police Seize Heroin, Pot and About $1,300 in Drug Money From Evanston Home

William L. Reed, 46, of the 1500 block of Dodge Avenue, was arrested and charged with felony unlawful possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor unlawful possession of marijuana after police executed a search warrant Friday at Reed’s home, according to Evanston police reports.

Police seized a small amount of heroin, pot and firearm ammo, as well as about $1,300 in cash from drug sales when they searched the home at about 6 a.m. Friday, Nov. 21, the report stated. Reed was on parole with the Illinois Department of Corrections when he was arrested, the report added.
