Smith Crossing residents create and donate "comfort bags" to warm up the winter
Hats and scarves, gloves and socks, and toothbrushes for those living on the street

Just in time for the wintry blasts that swept through the Midwest in recent weeks, Char Baloun and Margrita Bosch joined other Smith Crossing residents to assemble “comfort bags” for people living on the street. Volunteers filled the hand-sewn bags with warm winter essentials (from hats to gloves) and essential toiletries — all donated by residents of Smith Crossing — for distribution by the Daybreak Center shelter in Joliet.
