Where To Get Bricks From Purple Hotel

As a crew from National Wrecking Company started the dismantling of Lincolnwood's Purple Hotel on Aug. 27, Rick Mandell, a foreman, told onlookers asking for souvenir purple bricks to come back at the end of this week.

Souvenir seekers can drive their cars onto a dirt-covered area just west of the hotel at Touhy and Lincoln Avenues, park and walk to the security fence for a view of the demolition. If workers are on site, you can ask for a brick.
