Antunez Named Lineman Of The Year; 9 Mustangs Make All-Conference Team

EVERGREEN PARK, IL - The Evergreen Park Mustangs football team is well-represented on the South Suburban Red Conference's list of postseason awards.

Eduardo Antunez, a senior anchor on the Mustangs' offensive and defensive lines, was named the South Suburban Red Conference Lineman of the Year when the league announced their postseason awards on Monday.

Antunez was also named an All-Conference player along with seven of his teammates. Other Mustangs named All-Conference were Jedidah Adjayi, Antonio-Clay Jones, Gerald O'Hare, Jayden Pittman, David Johnson, Caleb Keyser and Genesis Ward. Aidan Bench was named an All-Conference Honorable Mention.

The Mustangs finished the 2023 regular season with a 6-3 overall record. The team will face Sycamore High School on the road Friday night, Oct. 27, in the first round of the IHSA playoffs.
