EVERGREEN PARK, IL — It’s time to bid the holidays' adieu. Evergreen Park residents can pack up their decorations in an environmentally friendly way by recycling their trees and string lights.

Flood Brothers will be collecting string lights that are not working or are unwanted through the end of January 2025. Collection bins are now available at Evergreen Park Village Hall, 9418 S. Kedzie Ave., or the Community Center, 3450 W. 97th St. Lights can be placed in bins during regular business hours through Jan. 31.

Also, starting Jan. 2, live trees can be placed on the curb for pick-up by Flood Brothers, the village’s waste hauler. Trees will be picked up on residents’ regular garbage collection day through the end of the month.
