How To Register To Vote In Evergreen Park

EVERGREEN PARK, IL — While many ballots for the Nov. 5 General Election have already been mailed out to voters in Illinois, swaths of residents still haven’t registered.

If you want to register in person through Election Day, you can do so at driver’s license facilities, your county clerk’s office, city or village offices, township offices or public libraries.

Evergreen Park residents can register to vote in the Nov. 5 election at the early voting site in the Oak Lawn Public Library, 9417 S. Raymond Ave. – but you need to vote that day.

Voter registration is also available at early voting sites, but you need to fill out an application and vote that day. Voters can also register to vote at early voting sites and on election day at their polling place.

If you need to register on Election Day, you can also visit the Cook County office in the George W. Dunne Cook County Office Building, 118 N. Clark St., Chicago, and polling locations in Oak Lawn. On Nov. 5, residents will be able to access same-day voter registration and cast their ballots between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m.

If you register to vote in person, you’ll need two forms of ID, and at least one must show your current address.

Voting by mail

Evergreen Park registered voters who want to vote by mail can file an application, which can be found on the Illinois State Board of Elections website.

If you’re making your request by mail, the Illinois Election Authority must receive it by Oct. 31.
You can also request a mail-in ballot online on your county clerk’s website.

Vote by mail ballots must be completed and postmarked by Election Day — Nov. 5.
