Ice Cream Social Offers Chance For Grandparents, Grandkids To Connect

EVERGREEN PARK, IL — Bring your grandparents for some ice cream, Thursday, Jan. 2. The ice cream social runs from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Evergreen Park Community Center, 3450 W. 97th St.

Kids can enjoy ice cream, games and entertainment with their grandparents, who are way more fun than their parents anyway. The delightful afternoon is host by Evergreen Park Citizen Services.

For the remainder of the week, except for Jan. 1, students in grades 5 through 12 are invited to join the Evergreen Park Youth Center located inside the community center on weekday afternoons for games and a snack. During the winter break, the youth center will have longer hours on school holidays. Kids return to school on Jan. 6.
