Most Holy Redeemer Carnival Offers Fun, Food and Frivolity

Most Holy Redeemer Carnival features bands, bingo, beer, rides, games and raffles July 21 through July 24 in Evergreen Park.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL — The rescheduled Most Holy Redeemer Parish Carnival is on deck for four fabulous days July 21 to July 24, featuring live music, beverages of all types, eats, big rides, games and more. The parish carnival will be held in the church parking lot at 95th Street and Lawndale Avenue in Evergreen Park.

Windy City Amusements will be putting up the rides this week for big folks and little folks. There will also be great grub for purchase, including Barraco’s Pizza, Cravings Ice Cream, Fat Tommy’s Hot Dogs, Big Jim’s Donuts, Edgar Fiesta Fest, and pop and water, as well as carnival fare.

The carnival will be open from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday so that children and adults with diverse needs can enjoy the carnival without lights, loud music and other distractions. Unlimited ride bracelets will be available for $10 during these special hours. The carnival will open to the public at 4 p.m.

Other highlights include carnival rides provided by Windy City Amusements, games, Turbo Queen of Hearts, split-the-pot raffles, pull tabs, children's face painting (Saturday and Sunday) and MORE.

Celebrity bartenders will be serving up cold ones in the beer garden, including Mayor Kelly Burke and village board members, Father Hyland, the MHR School Board, MHR Athletic Association. MHR Men’s Club and more. The beer garden will be open all four days offering craft and domestic beers, with different community groups tending bar each evening.

Live music will also be performed every night in the beer garden (21 and up) starting around 8 p.m. The nightly entertainment features:

Sunday, 3 to 8 p.m. (3 to 7 p.m. daily bracelets, $25)

Sorry, the carnival vendor is not offering mega bracelets this year.

Plus, MHR will be raffling off four Bears tickets for Sept. 25 noon game against Houston Texans. Seats are at section 442, row 35, 14, 15, 16, 17. Tickets are $10 for 1 and $25 for 3.
