Mustang Athlete Of The Week: Carmela Woods
Carmela Woods broke a 39-year-old Evergreen Park Community High School Girls Track record in the 300 meter dash.
EVERGREEN PARK, IL - Carmela Woods, a star on the Evergreen Park Community High School Girls Track team, is the latest Mustang Athlete of the Week.
At the Chicago Christian Invite, Woods broke a 39-year-old school record in the 400 meter dash with a time of 59.33 seconds, and came in first place in the event as well. She was also part of the 4 x 100 and 4 x 400 relay teams that took first place at the invite.
Woods was nominated for the Mustang Athlete of the Week honor by EPCHS Girls Track Head Coach Greg Geyer.
