Mustang Athlete Of The Week: Nathan Fernandez

EVERGREEN PARK, IL - Nathan Fernandez, a senior on the Evergreen Park Community High School Boys Swimming team, has been selected as the latest Mustang Athlete of the Week. Fernandez was nominated for the honor by his coach, Sarah Marshall.

"He gives 100% each and everyday and is a captain and leader for his team," Marshall said. "Nate works hard to better himself and inspire those around him to train harder and be better each practice."

Fernandez recently finished in 1st place in the 200 freestyle and in 2nd place in the 100 freestyle during a home meet.

Marshall said Fernandez is going after two school records this year and is within 2 seconds of breaking each.
