Mustang Athlete Of The Week: Rachel Thomas

The junior track star's 800 meter run time at the season-opening meet put her in the top 3 all-time for EPCHS Girls Track and Field.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL - Rachel Thomas, a junior on the Evergreen Park Community High School Girls Track and Field team, is this week's Mustang Athlete of the Week.

Thomas finished in third place in the 800 meter run at the Mustangs' season-opening meet at Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais. EPCHS Girls Track and Field Head Coach Greg Geyer said Thomas dropped her time by 18 seconds from the same meet last season.

Her time now puts her in the top three all-time for the indoor 800 meter run in EPCHS Girls Track and Field program history.
