American Legion Evergreen Park Post 854 will host a Veterans Day ceremony followed by light refreshments Tuesday, Nov. 11.
EVERGREEN PARK, IL — American Legion Post 854 of Evergreen Park will hold a Veterans Day ceremony Tuesday, Nov. 11. Gather at the monument outside the post, 9701 S. Kedzie Ave., Evergreen Park. The ceremony will start at 11 a.m. Light refreshments inside the post.
Veterans Day, formerly known as Armistice Day, was originally set as a U.S. legal holiday to honor the end of World War I, which officially took place on November 11, 1918.
