Rich Daniels And The City Lights Orchestra Perform Free Labor Day Concert With Fireworks
South Side native Rich Daniels and the City Lights Orchestra close out summer with a free concert and fireworks Sept. 4 in James Sexton Park

EVERGREEN PARK, IL South Side native Rich Daniels and the City Lights Orchestra will close out Evergreen Park’s summer concert season, performing their traditional Labor Day concert Monday, Sept. 1. The concert starts at 5:30 p.m. in James J. Sexton Park. 91st and Rockwell. Fireworks will follow at dusk.
City Lights Orchestra plays classic standards from George Gershwin and Woody Herman, Glen Miller and Benny Goodman, as well as tunes from Hollywood film scores and Broadway shows. In addition to corporate gigs and charity galas, CLO has also backed up singers Ray Charles, Mel Torme, Michael Bolton and Dionne Warwick and comedians Jay Leno and Rich Little.
Food and beverages will be available.
Bring your blankets, lawn chairs and maybe some plastic to sit on and enjoy a relaxing Sunday evening of music in the park. Don't forget the mosquito repellent. This is the final concert of the summer and it's always a big one.
